1. "The Brothers Who Couldn't Sleep"

They eventually found a way to wake up from the nightmare. Although the experience was terrifying, it was also fascinating and educational.


2. "The Witch of Zhitomir"


The Witch of Zhitomir is a powerful and feared woman. She is a witch who has been living in the woods near Zhitomir for many years. One day, a group of men ride into town on horses. The men are looking for the Witch of Zhitomir so that they can take her away to be their new queen. The Witch of Zhitomir knows that she is going to be captured and taken away, so she decides to fight back. She uses her magical powers to turn the men into frogs. Then, she throws them into a boiling cauldron. She knows that the frogs will die, but she is glad that she was able to protect her village from being taken over by the men.


3. "The Snow Maiden"


The Snow Maiden is born from snow. She is beautiful, but cold. The other children in the village ridicule her for being different. one day, when she is walking home from the market, she meets a boy who tells her that she looks like an ice maiden and begs her to come home with him. 

The Snow Maiden agrees, but warns him that he must never touch her or she will turn to ice. 

The prince follows her home, and they spend all night talking. The next morning, the Snow Maiden asks him to leave so that she can go back to her snowy world. 

The prince promises he will return soon. 


Years later, the prince has become a powerful king. He has a daughter of his own, and he wants to find a way to bring the Snow Maiden back to life. One winter night, he has a dream in which the Snow Maiden tells him how to do it. 

In his dream, he needs to gather eight pieces of ice from various parts of the world. 

When he wakes up, he knows he must get started on this quest right away. 


Eventually, he finds the Ice Queen and conquers her castle. He then kidnaps the Snow Maiden and takes her back to his kingdom. 

The people are overjoyed to see her again, but the prince warns them that she is still cold and cannot be touched. 

They eventually get used to her icy touch and live happily ever after.


4. "The Frog Prince"


The frog prince is a popular character in Russian fairy tales. He is often seen as a symbol of transformation. In this tale, the prince is turned into a frog by a wicked witch. The witch sets a trap for the prince, and he is forced to drink a poisonous liquid. This liquid turns him into a frog permanently. The story warns young children about the dangers of being gullible and trusting others too much. It also underscores the importance of staying true to yourself and refusing to let others control your life.


5. "Catherine the Great"


Catherine the Great was a towering figure in Russian history. Born in 1729, she became Empress of Russia at the age of sixteen. Under her rule, Russia reached its greatest heights. Catherine was known for her ruthless rule, which saw her put down numerous rebellions and take down numerous enemies. Her death marked the end of an era in Russian history, and she remains one of Russia's most famous and popular figures to this day.


6. "The Baba Yaga"


There is no one sure what the Baba Yaga looks like underneath her strange robes, but most believe she is a hideous monster. The Baba Yaga lives in a hut made of chicken bones, and she always eats children who wander her way. No one has ever survived an encounter with her. The only way to avoid the Baba Yaga is to cross her path during the full moon, when she is most active.
